Man Realizes ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ Actually Pretty Creepy After Rewatching It As Adult

LEBANON, NH—Saying he was stunned by the film’s macabre subject matter, area man Tyler Duchesne told reporters Friday that he had never realized The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is actually pretty creepy until he viewed it for the first time as an adult. “Back when I was a kid, it never occurred to me that the movie’s premise of a family of cannibals living in the woods and preying upon innocent passersby is really kind of disturbing,” said Duchesne, who had not seen the 1974 horror classic in decades, explaining that all the stuff about Leatherface butchering his victims with power tools went completely over his head when he watched it as a child. “I was always too focused on the whole plotline of the teenagers trying to find gas for their car to notice that they were essentially being preyed upon by these demented psychos. Man, the more I think about it, the whole idea of a character who wears a mask made out of human skin is a bit unsettling.” Duchesne added that he recently

The 2022 video games releases we can't wait to play

Just like the year itself, the video games of 2021 seemed to come and go in a flash. Finding focus was hard after a seemingly endless 2020. But the video games kept on coming, and our days were enriched by the best of them. Now, with 2022 firmly in our sights and a year’s worth of COVID-inflicted delays promising an incredible calendar ahead, fans of video games are preparing to indulge in a wealth of riches. There are so many games we’re looking forward to in the new year that it’s impossible to assemble a comprehensive list. The mythic Norse adventures of Kratos will continue in God of War: Ragnarok . Harry Potter lovers will finally get to see if and how Hogwarts Legacy can captivate fandom in the face of the Wizarding World creator’s vile transphobia . And fans of the Arkham series will behold what it’s like when Rocksteady Studios targets superheroes for termination in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League . It’s a jam-packed calendar is what I’m saying. But these are the

Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro update 'paused' to fix dropped calls

Bad news, Pixel fans: Google has confirmed it’s pausing the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro December update over reports of call dropping and disconnecting. As Droid Life reports , the news explains why many Pixel 6 owners haven’t received the update over the past few weeks. For the lucky few who managed to snag it and aren’t having any issues, Google says you can sit tight.  But for those those experiencing connectivity issues, your only fix is to flash your phone to an earlier version of Android and perform a factory reset. As always, be sure to backup your device before attempting such a massive undertaking. The December update was meant to add new features like ultra-wideband on the Pixel 6 Pro, and Quick Tap to Snap for easily accessing Snapchat from your lockscreen. Google says those features will make their way to the January fix.  The delay is something of a debacle for the company, especially since the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were meant to show off the combined power of Google’s custom

Gamers! Protect your precious tendons with this tabletop hand massager

Here’s something for the gamer that has everything: a tabletop hand massager that can be used to remove fatigue from your aching mitts and keep you on top form. Created by Japanese makers of gaming hardware and peripherals, Bauhütte, the device uses 15 heated air cushions to supposedly simulate the feeling of a real massage and, well, why the hell not. Bauhütte recommends you use the massager before gaming to warm up your hands; during breaks to improve circulation; and after you’ve finished to rub the stiffness out of your tired little fingers. Because you deserve it. A shiatsu mode will apparently rub your palms with firm pressure, while a “thimble” mode will pull and stretch each finger one by one. The only thing missing is a hand-holding mode to give you a squeeze of encouragement when you need a boost mid-game. Matte black everything. A pro gamer in his natural habitat. Shiatsu mode works the palm.
