Police search for group of men who robbed, sexually assaulted woman in Lawndale

Police are searching for a group of men who allegedly robbed and sexually assaulted a woman Friday night in Lawndale.

The woman was riding the CTA Pink Line about 9:30 p.m. when a group of men, about 20-years old, approached her and stole her cell phone, Chicago police said.

The men fled the train station as the woman ran after them, police said.

One of the men sexually assaulted the woman in an alley in the 4300 block of West Cullerton Street, police said.

The men also stole several other belongings from the woman before fleeing the area.

Two of the men were last seen wearing white t-shirts and jeans, police said. Another wore a black t-shirt, black shorts, black socks and black slippers. The fourth wore a black t-shirt and jeans, according to police. All of the men wore face masks.

One of the men has a tattoo on his left forearm of a name beginning with the letter “F,” police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area Four detectives at 312-746-8251.
